2019

Social Media Manager

SOCIAL media Management

I led social media strategy for accelerated growth on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I managed daily account maintenance, including scheduling content, engaging with followers, and responding to customer service inquiries. I created regular analytics reports and presented results to the client.

In just 3 months, I grew Instagram followers 415%, Facebook fans 56%, and Twitter followers 36%. I increased engagement rate 20%, impressions 160%, and clicks 160% across social channels.

CONTENT STRATEGY AND PRODUCTION

I developed creative and strategic social campaign concepts based on brand goals, product and partnership launches, and culturally relevant events and holidays. I designed visual assets and also project managed a team of internal designers to produce visual assets. I designed creative new ways to use interactive Instagram stories to increase follower engagement.

I wrote and edited copy for social media posts, website content, press releases, and e-mail marketing campaigns, adhering to the brand’s tone and style.

INFLUENCER MARKETING

I spearheaded the Instagram influencer strategy campaign with a $5,000 monthly budget, working with both micro and macro influencers to increase Instagram followers and brand awareness.

Senior Digital Marketing Specialist
Abt Associates

I led the corporate social media and e-mail marketing strategy for a global, mission-driven research and consulting firm. I managed the Social Media team, which operated as an in-house agency that services internal clients representing a variety of research industries. For part of my tenure at Abt, I was responsible for managing the public website. My digital marketing strategy successfully built awareness, promoted the thought leadership of individual staff experts, drove website traffic, promoted events, and attracted job applicants.

SOCIAL media Management

I led the company’s external social media marketing strategy. I managed the social media team to produce daily content for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, including writing posts and designing graphics. I tailored content for each platform’s unique audience while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

I grew both the Twitter and Facebook audiences by over 300% and launched the company’s Instagram account.

CONTENT Management AND STRATEGY

I maintained the public website, which included hundreds of pages and content items. I designed and formatted webpages with images using basic HTML.

For each new blog post, news story, and podcast episode, I developed a marketing strategy to promote content and drive website traffic.

Event Marketing

I developed comprehensive digital marketing campaigns for over 100 conferences and events per year, including the yearly Bold Thinkers series event featuring a panel of high-profile experts at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

I produced social media content to drive registration and awareness, manage paid social media campaigns, target influencers, live tweet, and manage e-mail campaigns.

 
 

COMMUNITY BUILDING and USER-Generated Content

I launched the company Instagram account to show the human faces behind Abt’s corporate digital persona, inviting followers to feel a personal connection to the brand.

I created the #LifeAtAbt hashtag to showcase Abt’s company culture and the fun perks of working at Abt. I invited social media savvy employees from around the world to take over the company’s Instagram stories for one day and share their unique #LifeAtAbt.

TWITTER TRAINING WORKSHOPS

I empowered Abt’s researchers to elevate their professional expertise on Twitter by leading a yearly series of hands-on Twitter workshops. I defined Twitter terminology, show how to write an engaging tweet, share tips on gaining followers, explain how to analyze metrics, and more.

Social Media Strategy

I advised on developing a social media strategy to grow a social media audience and to promote each episode launch, through both organic and sponsored posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I coached the team on developing a unique voice, tailoring content for each platform, targeting influencers, using strategic hashtags, social media management tools, and other best practices.

2016-2018

Event Promoter
CreateSpace Collab

As part of a music events collective called CreateSpace Collab (CSC) I ran regular nightlife events in the Boston area, including the monthly house & techno party Sweet Shop at Good Life Bar. I worked with talent agents to book world-renowned DJs, secured corporate sponsorships, promoted the events via social media and e-mail, coordinated event set-up, and managed artist hospitality.

 

DIY Event Planning

Elastic Plasticity is CSC’s underground, DIY event. Without the support of a traditional venue, we are wholly responsible for budget, A/V supplies, event staff, and digital promotions.

Thanks to our e-mail and social media marketing efforts, each event has been a success with packed rooms and revenues that match or exceed our strict budget.

 
 

E-mail Marketing

I upgraded CSC’s text-based e-mail event invites to a full-fledged e-mail marketing strategy with Mailchimp. For each event I developed a campaign schedule and designed an e-mail invite. I utilized list-building strategies including subscriber-exclusive free ticket contests. The professional e-mails broadened the reach of our marketing efforts and positively impacted CSC’s reputation for quality events.

Marketing Consultant
Antonio Aniello Yoga & Pilates

I worked with local yoga and Pilates instructor Antonio Aniello to sharpen his digital presence with the goal of earning new clients for private lessons and recruiting registrations for his yoga & Pilates retreats.

 

Website Design

Antonio needed a platform to share his class schedule and inform students of upcoming events. I wrote all web content and used Squarespace to design a visually engaging and functional website.

I trained Antonio to use Squarespace so he could continue to keep his website updated on his own.
